OKX has revealed that Solana Blinks will be integrated into the OKX Wallet. This update brings the wallet in touch with all the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) based blockchains. Making blockchain transactions such as token staking and swapping on social media platforms such as X and Discord is now possible without cost.

OKX Wallet Enhances Features with Solana Blinks

OKX Wallet users can now share specific links named Blinks on social media. This facilitates others’ ability to easily perform blockchain transactions while they are still on their social feeds. Also, this integration allows for direct purchasing of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from social media posts. OKX’s Chief Innovation Officer Jason Lau stated,

“This is the expansion to multi-chain Blinks, which will allow users to engage with blockchain technology seamlessly.”

Blinks, designed with the Solana Foundation and Dialect, help in problem-free communication with Decentralized Applications (DApps). This removes the usual nuisances of blockchain interfaces. Through the integration with Dialect, OKX has also eliminated transaction fees, thus opening up DeFi.

”Our partnership is to bring the ease of use of DApps through social media platforms,” Lau said.

OKX Wallet Expands with 100 New Protocols

Having connected 100 protocols and recently added Toncoin (TON), OKX Wallet continues its development. The company will pursue the development of the Blinks feature with the help of partnership, though details of this have yet to be disclosed. OKX has been included in the expansion list. Firstly, they have recently launched a subdomain clearly for users in the European Economic Area (EEA) to meet some legal requirements.

OKX also chose Malta as the base for the exchange because the platform now targets compliance with the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA). This strategic location targets more than 450 million EU citizens who are potential customers. ‘We aim to provide a regulated and reliable trading platform for cryptocurrencies, and having a base in Malta is key,’ Lau said. This aligns with OKX’s strategy of ensuring European users receive secure and compliant services.
