The prices of top cryptocurrencies traded in the green this morning, with Bitcoin above the $17,000 mark.

Crypto prices today: Bitcoin, Ethereum & Solana spike, Dogecoin & Sandbox increase
By Nidhi Bhardwaj: On 9 December, crypto prices increased as top coins traded in the green. The global crypto market cap spiked 2.05 percent to $858.95B from $840.20B yesterday. On the other hand, the global crypto volume also grew by 1.21 percent to $37.47B in the last 24 hours.
Bitcoin also advanced by 2.31 percent to trade at $17,216.08, as compared to its yesterday’s below mark of $17,000.
Ethereum’s value rose 4.41 percent to $1,284.05 today, in contrast to its plunge of 2.59 percent at $1,229.93, according to CoinMarketCap. As of (1000 IST), Solana saw a boost of 4.49 percent to trade at $13.72 from the previous day. BNB rose by 2.13 percent to $289.73. USD Coin increased by 0.01 percent to $1.00.
Other cryptocurrencies such as Tether increased 0.01 percent to $1.00, and XRP advanced 1.68 percent to $0.391943.
Top gainers include Chain, Stacks, Trust Wallet Token, and Bitcoin SV, with current growth rates of 10.17 percent, 7.19 percent, 6.32 percent, and 6.16 percent, respectively. On the other hand, Synthetix, USDD, Toncoin, and Chiliz were among the top losers.
Meme coins increase in value
The value of the Meme Coin was up by 1.95 percent over the last day to $0.021391. Shiba Inu noticed an increase of 1.30 percent in value to $$0.000009, Dogecoin increased by 2.25 percent to $0.098498, and Dogelon Mars rose by 9.72 percent to $3.63e-7.
Metaverse tokens up from yesterday
Decentraland, one of the top metaverse tokens, was up 0.23 percent to trade at $0.398887, while Axie Infinity remained low at 0.99 percent to trade at $8.12. Sandbox registered a gain of 1.03 percent to $0.588376.
